I couldn't read most of this post because I just started reading The Scorpio Races and don't want anything spoiled for.

But I loved the first paragraph, especially the part where you said you'd read the description on a roll of toilet paper if Ms. Stiefvater wrote it.

i love what you say about Stiefvater's writing -- I think I would read her descriptions off a toilet roll, too. I decided to order this book through a local bookstore, so it took a little longer to get it. I just started it, and it has definitely captured my mind. I found what you said about the pace interesting -- I'm getting that same vibe so far too...like, i don't feel like my heart is racing and i need to rush through the book. which is a good thing. because i have a tendency to rush, and i think Seiefater's words are crafted artfully enough to be worth a slower read. Anyway, I'm only a few chapters in but I am loving, loving, loving this book. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it -- this was a great review!
