Not gonna lie, I am totally crying tears of happiness after reading this! I don't know what it's like to have a kid with "Aspie" nor do I know anyone who has that. But I do know what it's like to be a proud mommy watching your kid do his best and come out on top against all odds. I'm so happy for you and your boy!!

I have been noticing lately that even though things seem insurmountable on the aspie-homefront, the little community that supports and knows Alex is so strong. I'm glad you guys have that too. I love this and am nearly in tears reading it. Complete understanding here. We had the same thing when our son entered (of his own accord) a talent show. Doing stand up comedy of his own writing. And came third. Pride does not begin to describe it.
